European patent validation in Denmark

Validate your granted European patent in Denmark.

How does validation work In Denmark?

As Denmark is the member of the European Patent Agreement, the European Patent can enjoy protection in Denmark after the process of validation. Denmark participates in the Unitary Patent system as well.

necessary documents: translation + Power of attorney

As Denmark has a different official language than the EPO, it is always obligatory to translate the claims to Danish. If the B1 document is in English, only the Danish translation of the claims has to be submitted. On the other hand, if the patent was granted with either a French or German description, an English or a Danish translation of the description can be filed as well, along with the required Danish claims.

Power of Attorney is not required for a validation in Denmark.
